​​With over 30 years of distinguished service in law enforcement and criminal justice, Nicky is passionate about teaching and empowering future police detectives as an Associate Trainer. A qualified PIP3 Senior Investigating Officer (College of Policing), she has led serious and complex investigations within the Metropolitan Police Service, developing expertise in safeguarding (RASSO, domestic abuse, VAWG), counter-terrorism, intelligence, and major crime.
Drawing on this extensive operational background, Nicky now works as a trainer, lecturer, consultant, and course facilitator, specialising in investigative interviewing (victims, witnesses, and suspects), safeguarding, and serious crime investigations. She designs and delivers training programmes for police officers and security professionals both in the UK and internationally, collaborating with organisations including the Home Office. Her work includes leading and contributing to projects on digital evidence, human trafficking, and investigative strategy, with the aim of strengthening criminal justice outcomes.
Nicky holds a Postgraduate Certificate (Merit) in Criminology and Criminal Justice and has been commissioned to develop and deliver bespoke training packages such as a human trafficking and digital evidence course for the Vietnamese Police Academy and a Highfield Level 2 Safeguarding module for the security sector. She has also contributed as a subject matter expert to a serious sexual offences digital disclosure training package.
Her commitment to safeguarding and justice has been recognised through the White Ribbon Award (2010) for her work in domestic abuse investigations. Beyond policing and training, Nicky has consulted for TV, film, and publishing companies, advising on policy and procedure to ensure accuracy and authenticity in their portrayals of investigative practice.
Nicky holds a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate.
