Joining the Metropolitan Police in 1990 and retiring as a Detective Superintendent in 2022, Pete has held a vast amount of roles in Counter Terrorism (SO15), Forensic Investigation, Homicide, Child abuse and more.

And, due to his past experience as a serious crime Senior Investigative Officer (SIO), he will assist in leading our Investigations teams across the company.

Pete also holds NEBOSH, COSH and IOSH qualifications, and has a comprehensive professional history of conducting risk assessments & contingency planning on behalf of high profile venues & events while using his qualifications from the Emergency Planning College and ISRM.

Pete will be able to accept instruction in areas such as Martyn's Law, Health & Safety, Emergency Planning, Risk Management, Investigations and more.

Pete joined Harris Ellis Consultancy Ltd in November 2025. Pete leads our Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness Department and acts as a Senior Investigations Specialist in our Investigations Department. 

Pete holds a valid UK Security Clearance at CTC Level but has held vetting at DV level previously.​
