Gurnam “Tom” Dahri MSc is an investigations and counter-fraud specialist with over 30 years’ experience in law enforcement, complex criminal investigations, financial crime, and intelligence operations. A former Metropolitan Police Detective Inspector and Senior Investigating Officer (PIP3), Tom has led some of the UK’s most high-risk and high-profile investigations, from homicides and terrorism to cross-border bribery, corruption, and multi-million-pound fraud.
 
Tom is currently working with the Guernsey Economic & Financial Crime Bureau (EFCB), supporting complex fraud and economic-crime investigations involving multi-jurisdictional transactions, evidential analysis, and intelligence development. This work ensures his investigative practice remains aligned with modern financial-crime enforcement standards and cross-border regulatory expectations.
 
Across his career, he has delivered major fraud and corruption investigations for the Serious Fraud Office, misconduct and abuse-of-authority investigations for the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), and specialist fraud-prevention work for fintech firms, SMEs, public bodies, and private clients.
 
His expertise includes OSINT, CPIA-compliant case building, safeguarding, AML and governance frameworks, and high-risk intelligence coordination. Tom is also the creator of Sentinel, an AI/ML-powered counter-fraud and investigations platform designed to help organisations detect threats earlier and manage investigations more efficiently.
